端午又称“重五”，所以很多习俗都和“五”这个数字有关联。而且要用红、黄、蓝、白、黑五色丝线系在儿童的脖子、手腕或者足踝，称为长命缕。
端午节的来历/习俗都很多，说也说不完。其中有一个来历是这样的，古代有个诗人叫屈原，他受到坏人的诬陷，为了证明自己是清白的，他投汨罗江而死，主张爱国主义。后来的人们赛龙舟是为了捞救他，投粽子是为了让鱼虾吃饱，不去吃屈原的遗体。
我们柳州过端午节的方式是：一大早，大家先去买艾叶和菖蒲挂在门口，再贴上红纸。我奶奶还会包粽子，粽子的材料是豆子、板栗、猪肉。吃起来可香了!
